Cancer Awareness Month…

In Honor of Those We Love♥️

Thrive Global invites voices from many spheres to share their perspectives on our Community platform. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team, and opinions expressed by Community contributors do not reflect the opinions of Thrive Global or its employees. More information on our Community guidelines is available here.

Rarely does anyone speak from the caregivers point of view.

  1. Speaking from experience, you could never imagine the emotional toll.
  2. How it’s handled varies from patient- to patient.
  3. Some check in mentally, some check out and become unavailable (because the news is unbearable).
  4. Practice daily routines the preserve life- yours and theirs. Examples: Lifestyle, support in every area.
  5. Caregivers must put their own “well-being” at the forefront. In most cases all attention is given to the patient- leaving a lack of care and decline of health for the caregiver.

Share LOVE, SUPPORT and PRESERVE yourself.
