Shea Alderete is an American businessman and marketing strategist. Over the years, Shea has helped dozens of brands and individuals achieve their goals. In this article, we will learn the virtues and principles he utilizes each day to help him succeed in his life.

Achieving success

Success comes when we observe and practice certain habits.  Habits such as reading self-development books, listening more than talking, eating healthy, and keeping fit.

Shea’s main hack to achieving success is simple, create a stress-free environment. He explains that this can be very crucial in improving your physical and mental health.

Most individuals these days fail to take care of themselves mentally and physically. They always come up with excuses and claim that they lack the time or money to do so.

There’s one vital thing they tend to forget; They aren’t going to be resourceful to themselves or their organization if they end up sick and mentally burnt out.

Avoiding Burnout

Whenever shea experiences entrepreneurial burnout, he takes some time off from work and spends time on his boat.

He sets out on a trip to connect with nature, especially the ocean. This helps him reset his mental space and cultivate new ideas and work through life issues or reprioritize his life on what’s really important.

These small trips are key to strengthening his mindset. Shea believes that the way you conquer stress boils down to how well you control your mindset.

“Everyone is in control of their mindset, it all starts when you go to bed, and it begins when you wake up in the morning with your routines.”

Some people use the gym, others go hiking or take a long walk. All these are good destressors, and I think you must identify yours and use it to your advantage.”

Dominating your day

After a hard days work, most of us find it hard to prepare for the next day.

Shea’s day is usually determined by what he did the night before. Every night when he goes to bed, Shea envisions the next day.  You Have to be mentally prepared for success!

He plans what and how he wants to accomplish the next day. This helps him stays organized and achieve certain goals and what milestones he’s focused on accomplishing.

He also meditates each night and encourages that each one of us do. With how chaotic life can be it’s easy to ignore our feelings and stressed and stay out of balance.

“Instead of surfing the Internet or watching a TV show, try swapping those things out for 30 minutes of meditation and breathwork. You would be surprised by the results you will get.” – Shea.
