Many people believe that charity can solve all problems around the world. They think charity can eliminate poverty, improve the lives of the underprivileged, reduce the crime rates, and help third-world countries overcome their unstable situation. Charity is helping the world in innumerable ways, but the world needs to understand that it is just a temporary way to solve problems. What the world needs right now is much more than just ‘charity.’ Instead of providing a home to the homeless, food to the hungry, and money to the poor, there is a need to address the root causes. The world needs more philanthropists, such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Azim Premji.

Royalty born, Dinah Lilia Mansour Mourise, is a descendent of Nazli Sabry, Queen of Egypt. She currently lives in Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada, and is putting in major efforts in establishing a strong, safe, and balanced society. The VP of OEIS, a Canadian security and investigation agency, Dinah, is not only working to improve the Falls as a society but also actively participates in resolving global societal issues, including child trafficking.

Establishing a Safe and a Secure Society for the Residents of Falls

As a born Catholic, Dinah is working to establish the Niagara Region as a safe region for its residents as well as the tourists. She stepped into the private security sector in 2012 with a passion and dedication towards the establishment of a crime-free society in the Niagara Region. In an attempt to create a secure society, she founded OEIS Investigations, Security, and Protection in 1999.

Dr. Dinah said crime and criminal activities are increasingly assuming a new height, a responsibility too big for government alone to shoulder. If individuals are not willing to let go of their comfort zone in support of the government to eradicate crime and control criminal activities, it is only a matter of time before crime consumes everyone. A crime-free society is our collective responsibility. Moreover, during her mayoral campaign in the year 2018, she stated, “I have connections all over the world. I say, let’s make this a world-class city where we can actually say to children, ‘you don’t have to go, you can actually stay in the city and make a good living … today we can’t say this.”

She believes that it is the primary responsibility of every citizen to stand up against high crime rates. The government alone cannot handle the situation, and that is why she uses the platform of OEIS to reduce the crime rates in the city.

The areas that the private security firm offers to the residents of Niagara Falls include corporate level investigation, fraud investigation, international criminal investigations, Intel Operations, inventory valuation, world trade investigation, and internal theft. The firm provides uniformed guards, executive protection, mobile patrol, and commercial and private event security. In addition to this, Dinah Lilia Mansour Mourise uses OEIS as a platform to provide security guard-, private security-, first aid-, and close protection-training and has established OEIS COLLEGE OF TACTICAL FORCES.

Addressing the Increasing Rates of Child Trafficking Across the World

The efforts of Dinah Lilia are not limited to the borders of Niagara Falls. In addition to running a full-fledge private security, investigation, and forensics agency in the city, she is playing a prominent role in eliminating serious societal issues such as child trafficking. She founded the non-profit organization, Liliia Foundation, in Niagara Falls. The primary purpose of this organization is to rescue children stuck in the chain of child trafficking. The vision of this organization is to “rescue the exploited and enslaved children, restore the abused, protect the vulnerable, empower the poor and be a voice for those who cannot speak up for themselves.” The philanthropic approach of this organization extends all across Canada.

Through Lilia Foundation, Dr. Dinah Lilia Mansour Mourise has successfully helped almost 10,000 children, aged between 2 to 12 years, in South America and the Middle East, escape the chain of human trafficking. Out of these, more than 3000 children were provided with top-quality medical care. Moreover, the platform helped these children develop soft skills and perform better in school. Dr. Dinah’s efforts led to a collaboration between community leaders, governments, and non-profit organizations to address child trafficking, a major societal issue all across the globe.

First Female Candidate for Niagara Falls – A Shift in Mindset

Niagara Falls is home to one of the world’s largest waterfalls. It attracts millions of tourists every year. For the world, this city is more of an attraction than a city. Living in the world’s prominent tourist destination, the residents of Falls have to experience challenging societal issues. Everything in this city is about tourism, and there is not much to look at outside the tourism industry.

Dinah was nominated as a candidate in the mayoral elections in the year 2018. She was the first female to make her way to such a prestigious nomination. The 40 year old was planning to bring a new mindset in Niagara Falls. During her campaign, she asked her voters never to call her a politician because her mindset was far different from other nominees. She was the one to put light upon the fact that Niagara Falls did not have much to offer to its residents. She directed everyone’s attention over the fact that there was a need to introduce employment opportunities for the residents outside the tourism sector. She said, “We really need to transform Niagara Falls into a center for major investment. And that’s my focus. By doing this, we’re going to be able to have a true community.”
