B Sides

Knowing after it is gone

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.
Slow down at all still always there you are
Right foot in left shoe fitting in obverse
Scenes and songs have not abandoned thus far
Impatiently singing the next staged verse

No turning right while in separate tow
Lower priority never asked told
The memory of someone else's home
An awkward passage to have and to hold

Screaming pitch forcing stale fortuity
Tangential for obscure guiding to clear
Implications drag smudged memories
A muffled warmth cooling hesitant fear

Remembering the refuge of embrace
Staring into your eyes to find your face
