Arianna Huffington Explains Why You Don’t Need Anyone Else to Fall in Love

The Thrive CEO on how we can access love anytime

Remember the last time you were in love? It’s an unforgettable feeling. But you don’t need to rely on another person to feel it. Thrive Global founder and CEO Arianna Huffington explains why love is something we can practice and celebrate in our everyday life.

“We think it’s because of the other person,” she says. “We think that without that other person we can’t feel it, but that’s not true. The other person may evoke it in us, but it is in us. Therefore we can access it anytime.”

We should fall in love with life itself instead and focus on the moments and people that bring us joy.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
