Are you Groaning or are you Growing?

The challenges of life should be a growing experience, not a groaning one

Groaning vs. growing.

If there are any certainties in life at all, then apart from birth and death we all share an unpredictable rollercoaster of highs and lows. This means that we will all face various challenges during our lives.

These challenges can seem so heavy and so tough. They can sometimes nearly break us.

But it is how we see the challenges that make the biggest difference.

Do you see those challenges as a growing experience, which is teaching you some valuable lessons and making you stronger?

Or do you groan about the tough times and the hard times excessively, unable to see the benefit in it all?

If we could only see more of our challenges as more of a growing experience, than a groaning one, then our own experience if life would improve.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
