was born in Detroit, Michigan. Of the few states he was raised in, he considers Georgia to be his home. At a young age he found out that his mother had an aggressive cancer. After battling the disease for a year, she won the war and has been cancer free since.

However, seeing his mother suffer at such a young age took an emotional toll on Mali. He took to writing poetry to express himself which eventually lead him to writing music. His early inspirations include Michael Jackson and The O’Jays. Tupac, Chris Brown, and XXXTentacion are a few of his later inspirations.

His lyrics revolve around his life story and the trials that made him who he is today.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
