I’ve had the chance to work with many music artist over the last three years and I have only come across a couple artist who even come close to RAE. 

Rebecca Anne Epstein is getting ready to drop her new Single “The One” Produced by T-Man dropping on Friday August 17th. She was born a small town in Florida with parents that were both musicians. After teaching herself piano and singing from a young age, she was able to start taking over the live show scene in South Florida by the age of 15. From 18 and on she was a star at FSU and the town of Tallahassee knew her as the Singer – Songwriter destined for fame. One year ago, she moved to Los Angeles and really started honing her craft and taken her music to the next level. I got the chance to catch up with Rae and learn a little more about who she is. Here’s what she had to say.

Biggest music inspiration? Why?

John Lennon – He stood up for what he believed in and made art for the people that wanted to promote love. In the climate of our nation I feel like everyone needs some love these days.

Now tell me about the reason behind RAE! Why Rae? What’s does RAE stand for?

RAE are my initials that stand for Rebecca Anne Epstein. It represents Remain Always Empowered which is the overall message that I want to get to my fans.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Janis Joplin because she was so fearless as a women artist of her time period and would love to hear her stories and her advice.

Any future plans that you want to share with us?

I will be announcing tour dates and playing shows outside of LA in the near future

Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now?

A couple Grammies in my living room in Malibu. Touring and playing sold out shows all over the world.

Favorite song? Why?

Imagine by John Lennon – First song I ever played on my Grandma’s piano at the age of 9.

How would you describe your music?

Soulful, fun and upbeat

What is your next goal as a musician?

To play my hometown music festival Okeechobee

Which artists would you like to collaborate with?

G-Eazy, Sarah Aarons, Diego Avi, Max Martin and John Mayer

What music do you like?

Music that makes me feel good whether it’s acoustic music while I am drinking coffee in the morning, house music at a pool party or some classic rock around a campfire in the Desert.

Any loves, other than music?

The beach, Photography and reading and writing

What do you do in your free time?

Listen to other artist play, live shows, yoga and lay by the pool (cocktails optional)
