Are you aware of the ALPHA in you?

The Thrive Global Community welcomes voices from many spheres on our open platform. We publish pieces as written by outside contributors with a wide range of opinions, which don’t necessarily reflect our own. Community stories are not commissioned by our editorial team and must meet our guidelines prior to being published.

I BET not! Depending upon how one chooses to interpret, and playfully incorporate the English language — much can seemingly get missed. Much can get misconstrued or lost in translation or dismissed based on skewed or under-utilized perspectives. I choose to interpret the word ALPHA from a hearty, healthy, and robust viewpoint. I also choose to see the potentiality of its existence within anyone I cross paths with whether it is a descriptor each individual can identify and resonate with or not. Perhaps the word ALPHA translates as hierarchy, or superiority, or intimidating to those who do not associate themselves with this word or who have clung to a certain belief in its application or meaning where others might have been ‘pigeon-holed,’ in its application. We can only meet others as deeply as we are prepared to meet ourselves. I truly believe this!

So, in the event no one has pointed out recognizing the ALPHA in you, (including yourself) kindly allow me to be the first!

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
