For Jennifer Rodriguez, escaping the life that almost left her children motherless, was not easy. On June 26th, 2016, Jennifer became the survivor of a deadly domestic dispute when her partner, at the time, attacked and shot her. Wounded, terrified, and in the ambulance en route to the emergency room, she decided that it was not her time. She was meant to build a legacy for herself and her children; this would not end here.

“AS A MATTER OF FACT, MOVING FORWARD WASN’T EASY BUT NEITHER IMPOSSIBLE, SO THIS MARKED A PRECEDENT. IT WAS TIME TO LEVEL UP, LEAVE MY MARK IN THIS WORLD, AND START MY ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY,” SAID JENNIFER RODRIGUEZ.

From a very young age, Jennifer was very business-minded, birthing her now fast-growing brand – Big Business Jen – when she was in high school. She dreamt of one day becoming a business owner and expert so that she could educate others on how to break free of their financial woes. This dream led Jennifer to begin working in the finance field, helping businesses find working capital when the banks would not approve their loans. From there, Jennifer leveraged the skills she learned into a position as a Bank Manager at one of the top banking institutions in the US. During this time, she also did volunteer work, partnering with various institutions to teach the young and old the principles of credit, budgeting, and the importance of financial health.

With her growing success and acumen, Jennifer finally decided to open her own business and in 2018 Platinum Tax & Financial Service was born. She is now rebranding as TaxCred Plus Inc., franchising, and expanding it to serve and educate communities nationwide. Not only has Jennifer successfully started and developed her own business, she is also teaching others how to do the same. Beginning in mid-August, Jennifer will be educating individuals on how to open their own tax and credit restoration business so they too can reach financial freedom and teach others how to do the same. If that is not enough, this trailblazer is also in the midst of finishing her first book, Give Yourself Credit, which aims to reach a broader audience with tips and tricks on credit and credit repair.

“THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS NOT PEOPLE NOT KNOWING HOW TO DO IT; IT’S PEOPLE NOT HAVING THE TIME TO DO IT. A LOT OF PEOPLE CAN DO THEIR OWN OIL CHANGE OR BRAKES, BUT THEY WOULD RATHER HIRE A PROFESSIONAL THAT CAN SAVE TIME AND TAKE THE BURDEN OFF THEIR HANDS,” SAID JENNIFER RODRIGUEZ.

What is her advice to entrepreneurs who want to reach the pinnacle of their success? Don’t reinvent the wheel, be consistent, persistent, and positive, and don’t make excuses.

“YOU CAN BE AN ENTREPRENEUR AND MAKE TIME FOR YOUR KIDS AND YOUR LIFE. I MEAN, I HAVE FIVE KIDS, AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A LOT, EVERY OBSTACLE YOU CAN PROBABLY THINK OF. MY MANTRA IS TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS AROUND YOUR LIFE, NOT YOUR LIFE AROUND YOUR BUSINESS,” POINTED OUT JENNIFER.

Currently, Jennifer is on a mission to help people “level up” to the next stage of their lives, be it financial, mental, or spiritual. She wants to help people realize the things that make them get up every day and love their lives.

With that same mission in mind, in April of 2019, Jennifer went on the highly acclaimed Television Show, The Steve Harvey Show, where she shared the importance of financial literacy and how one can attain it.

While Jennifer’s situation compelled her to rise anew, she has met many women who cannot say the same. Being able to catalyze these women and help them break free is one of her greatest motivators. Although her goal is to help as many people as she can, she has a special place in her heart for women who are in the position she once was. Jennifer will also be holding her first women’s empowerment event next June, on her birthday. She hopes this event will be the spark these women need to become the best version of themselves.

“NEVER GIVE UP, YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE POWERFUL, AND YOU ARE HERE FOR A PURPOSE.” JENNIFER STATED BOLDLY.

I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Jennifer and what more she has in store for all of us.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
