With over 3.8 million followers on TikTok, Aakaanksh Autade—famously known as Kaansanity—has undeniably perfected the recipe for TikTok virality. Considering his impressive background in social media marketing and management, it is no wonder why his marketing agency, AK Digital, is generating insane results for its clients.

Aakaanksh states that since childhood, he has always admired entrepreneurship. After first getting started, the influencer went on to try different facets of the social media industry, from reselling all the way to web design. After finally getting the hang of Facebook Ads, pursuing the social media marketing niche was a given. According to Aakaanksh, “Nothing else offers that level of scalability, freedom, and low overhead. Online models will ensure you’re at no risk and you don’t have to worry about paying the lease on an office or retail space.”

At the moment, he is successfully handling the ads and social media of multiple 7 and 8 figure companies as well as a handful of smaller brick and mortar businesses in the Los Angeles area. Aakaanksh has even been involved in creating engaging advertising campaigns for Grammarly, Chegg, Amazon, Public, Bartleby’s and more!

Today, Aakaanksh has shared some of his top tips for future entrepreneurs in the online space!

1. Find a good market

One of the biggest factors to look at when starting a successful online business is the market that you’re in. If you’re in a saturated niche with a ton of competition, you’re going to have a lot of trouble getting off the ground. You also need to make sure that the barrier to entry is relatively high so that others don’t easily imitate your business model. In addition, there needs to be a common problem that you’re able to solve as well as people actively looking for a solution to that problem.

2. Know the customer

By properly identifying your target customer, you’re better able to position your marketing efforts. It is also important to note who your target customer isn’t! This is overlooked many times and can really help with your business model. At the end of the day, the customer is always right. It takes weeks to find a customer but only seconds to lose one and it’s important that all of your energy goes into the customer experience. Don’t just think about making money. The money will follow if you treat your customers right!

3. Do research on the competition

It is very important to do your due diligence when it comes to competition. Knowing the opposition well will tell you exactly why a customer would want to choose your product over someone else’s. Take a look at strategies your competitors are using and throw in your own twist to one-up them! Good competition can spur new inventions and identify new consumer needs. At the end of the day, you should try to look at competition as a motivation to do better. By evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the  competition, you’re putting  yourself in a much better position to provide a better customer experience.

Aakaanksh Autade reminds budding entrepreneurs that not every business venture will be a hit and make millions. However, small failures do not mean individuals should quit! Instead, they should serve as important learning experiences.

Apart from AK Digital, Autade keeps himself busy with making TikTok content and pursuing volunteer work. On top of managing AK Digital, Aakaanksh Autade also takes time to grow further by working on his non-profit company called Snap-Tutors. The organization is focused on bridging the gap during these trying times to give students better learning opportunities. Snap-Tutors not only provides important study materials, but it also offers meaningful volunteering opportunities to students that are interested.
