A connection so rare

Soul connections are eternal.

A few lines that I remember from a song in Lion King –

“As we go through life we see there’s so much that we don’t understand.
And the only thing we know is things don’t always go the way we planned.
When it seems all your dreams come undone, we are more than what we are. We are one”.*

In our journey, as humans, we come across many fellow beings – some ordinary, some extraordinary, some rare, some divine. The similarity about all such connections is that they are all ‘mortals’. Though the connection with the divine beings might transcend to a different plane, the mortality of a connection with them is what I’m pointing out here.
Mortality, in my opinion is of two forms – physical and spiritual. Physical death is something we all know and understand and have no control over. However, spiritual death is that which happens when the connections break. Sometimes it so happens that, for reasons unknown, consciously or subconsciously, we put certain connections to rest; thereby ending the connection. This spiritual death is in our control.
The ordinary connections come and go and are not greatly affected by the spiritual cut off. The extraordinary ones are at a loss. The rare ones, by such a loss are left broken & lost and losing a divine connection is utter devastation.
Imagine a world where connections are strong between beings and each help the other resonate to a higher plane. Especially the rare and divine ones. I opine they bring peace and harmony not just to each other but to the environment and people surrounding them as well.
Won’t this mean we grow faster and better? It sure does.
Therefore, I believe it is for the greater good to move higher, faster and in a better way for such connections to be kept alive. I feel the universe believes in this too.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
