Being called a Class Act is a great sign that you are successful. We all admire people who are called Class Act. I have expanded each letter of the word Class Act to understand what it takes to become one. Here are the 8 ways to become a Class Act.

Confidence – Without confidence you cannot become a class act and a person who is noteworthy to their close ones and peers. All class acts have enormous confidence in their abilities and have a sense of destiny about them. They are comfortable in their own skin and have taken the time to understand their strengths. They are always improving themselves in order to contribute more to society. Here is a more detailed account on how to develop self-confidence.15 Keys to Self-confidence

Luck – Class Acts create their own luck. Luck is sometimes called laboring under correct knowledge. It is when opportunity meets preparation. You have to be always prepared for good things to happen and then luck will follow. As the famous quote says the harder I work the luckier I get. All class acts are extremely hard workers but they also work smart. The more actions you take the better chances you have of succeeding.

Acceptance of Reality – You cannot change reality and the sooner you accept it the better the chances of having a great life. It is denial which is the problem for most people. So accept reality as it is. Don’t wish for it to be easier instead wish for better mental strength. Every one of us will have problems but it is how we respond to the problems that determines how far we can go in our lives.

Success – All Class Acts have defined what success means to them. They don’t bother about what others think of them. Instead they are always measuring themselves against the standards they set for themselves. They don’t need someone else to appreciate them to feel good. Define what success means to you and if you meet that measure then you are successful. There are no rules for success in my opinion and only the particular individual can decide what success means to them.

Serious – Class Acts take themselves lightly but they take their work very seriously. The only way you can reach the top of your profession is by giving the attention it deserves. Identify the experts in your field, connect with them, read their blogs, listen to their podcasts, document what you have learned, share what you have learned and read their books. This type of commitment shows that you are serious about your profession. Of course a sense of humor mixed with seriousness will be the ideal trait to possess.

Attitude – This is ability to look into the good of any setback. Class Acts liberate themselves by never reacting in haste when things go wrong. They take a deep breath and look at what they can do to move forward. They are always learning to ensure they never repeat the same mistakes again. They are generally cheerful, enthusiastic and welcome setbacks as opportunities to grow. They always respond to events rather than react.

Courage – This is the one quality that separates the class acts from others. It is the ability to take calculated risks while protecting the downside. No one who has been successful has done it without courage. Everyone is afraid of change but the class acts welcome change as the ruler. They understand in the modern world if we don’t learn how to deal with change we will be overtaken by the competition. They overcome their fears by facing them head on. They also understand that it is not what happens to you that is important but it is the response to the event that shows what you are made of.

Triumph – All class acts ensure they are always thinking of triumph. They plan all the way to the end. In spite of temporary setbacks they ensure they are in it for the long haul. They are always thinking of victory and take a no prisoners attitude towards success. Begin with the end in mind and you will triumph over any obstacles thrown at you. Think of triumph instead of defeat. As it is mentioned in the class “The Magic of Thinking Big” there are two foremen in action one is triumph and another is defeat. Always think of triumph and good things will happen. Always think of victory and that’s what separates champions from others. Fire Mr.Defeat and always put Mr.Triumph to work.
