We are all busy with our lives, trying to balance our work-life and personal-life, which sometimes leads to stress. However, you can use some techniques to manage stress and helps you to lead a balanced work-life.

Keeping up-to-date helps manage stress
  1. Keep Up-To-Date – Create a to-do list of your work. List out which task you completed and yet to complete. This helps you to prioritize your work, avoiding stress.
  2. Plan A Break –Take short breaks in between your work. Have a short chat with someone, or walk around and be calm.
  3. Breathe – Deep breathing helps to restore balance. It doesn’t take much time, just inhale for five seconds, hold, and then exhale for a couple of seconds.
  4. Prioritize your To-Do List – Make a list of priorities, keeping competing deadlines in mind. Identify the project that is having a great impact and are associated with the company goals.
  5. Exercise – One of the best ways to relieve stress is exercise. Regular physical activity helps in boosting your mood too.
  6. Sleep – Get adequate sleep, which helps you make better decisions, coping with change, to perform well at work, and control your emotions. Set up a bedtime routine.
  7. Relax – When the work-load piles up, it is important to care for your health and well-being. Create activities that help you relax and make you feel more energized and productive at work.
  8. Ask For Help – When you reach the point of being overwhelmed and too stressed, don’t be afraid to let your boss know your concerns. Allow your managers to assist you in your work or get a day-off. This will help you manage stress during busy days. If that doesn’t seem possible, don’t hesitate to seek professional help from a career coach.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
