Getting older is a beautiful thing, it’s a sign of experience, having lived and conquered several situations and life hurdles. However, we don’t want to wear the signs of the battle on our face. So, a lot of women are constantly trying to get read of those lines, wrinkles, and spots that seem to announce all the life experiences and conquered situations we’ve gone through. Just like life’s hurdles, there are a number of ways to triumph over these skin aging marks.

Here are 10 smart anti-aging lifestyle tips and decisions that would help erase those years from your face. They are recommended by dermatologists, researchers and beauty experts.

1.      Get enough Sleep and Use a Silk Pillowcase

Sleep is very important to our wellbeing generally. It’s great for our mental, emotional and physical stability. The importance of sleep can never be overemphasized, which is why it’s a no brainer that dermatologists say it’s also important for the skin as well if we get enough sleep.

For quite some time, a lot of people have added sleep to their self-care and beauty routine and if you haven’t, you should do so. According to dermatologist and chief medical spokesperson for Sebamed, Dr. Marnie Nussbaum. “Sleep is super important in allowing the body to regenerate, and the skin is no different,”

Also, to be able to sleep comfortably, he also recommends sleeping with a silk or satin pillowcase because they are smooth and gentle, lulling you to sleep in comfort and leaving no lines on your face that could over time become permanent.

2.      Exfoliation and Organic Anti-Aging Products

Exfoliating is one of the most popular ways to get rid of dead skin cells and reveal smoother skin underneath.

To get rid of the lines, a lot of people use anti-aging products. However, dermatologists recommend using anti-aging organic skincare products because it is important that you do not aggravate your face by using harsh chemical products your face. Experts’ advice using anti-aging organic skincare products like Laloirelle with natural ingredients helps the skin’s ability to accelerate cell renewal and collagen production boost, leading to more youthful-looking skin.

3.      Manage your stress

It is a well-known fact that too much worry, stress and no rest is bad for your wellbeing, both mentally and physically. According to Angela Lamb, MD, an assistant professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, stressful situations have a negative effect on health and they trigger stress-associated hormones which have aging effects.

To prevent this, it is recommended that you distress yourself through yoga, sleep, meditation or other ways of de-stressing methods.

4.      Drink plenty of Water

For as long as I can remember, Doctors, nutritionists, health experts and researchers have been advising on the health benefits of drinking plenty of water. The health benefits of drinking plenty of water include a well dehydrated and young-looking skin. Dr. Nussbaum recommends that if you don’t always like drinking water like you are supposed to, you can trick yourself into drinking more by adding certain fruits, and vegetables to your diet.

5.      Eat Antioxidants

In addition to eating a healthy diet to make your entire body healthy, we should also eat fruits and vegetables that contain antioxidants like vitamins B and E, e.g., fish, poultry, chickpeas, almonds, and sunflower seeds. According to Dr. Nussbaum, they are particularly important for the skin and protect the skin from environmental radicals that damage skin cells.

6.      Its exercise time

The advantages and benefits of exercises are endless. From weight loss to preventing severe health conditions to keeping fit; working out is the gift that keeps on giving. According to research from McMaster University in Canada, regular workouts help your skin look and feel younger and slow signs of aging.

7.      Healthy fats

According to experts, eating healthy fats such as avocado, almonds, nuts, olive oil, etc, help to enhance the skin. In addition to helping the body absorb vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids promote smoother, younger-looking skin by reducing inflammatory skin conditions like acne and psoriasis.
