Thank you so much for joining us! What is your “backstory”?

I am a simple girl who was born in a very very small city where my dreams were bigger than it. My first job wasn’t related to fashion but was thankful that I found my real path. I opened my blog in 2011 in order to let my creativity flow, because my daily job was everything except creative. The blog was a place to free my mind and telling my thoughts about my own rules. People started to read and interact, at first, I only use the blog to write about me, beauty, fashion but people soon asked me to see my looks and all of a sudden it becomes what was called a fashion blog. It has evolved during the years in a real website with a lot of different contents and it is supported by my Instagram account, where I share my looks and all the things I love. During the years, I was also an editor for several web magazines and I made tailored projects for brands who wanna increase their online presence.

Can you share the most interesting story that occurred to you in the course of your career?

I don’t know if is the most interesting but is one of the most emotional things that happened to me recently. I was the member of the jury in a contest and after the end of it a girl ( the winner!) came to me and told me “ When I was in the middle of the competition, I went in panic, I was in anxiety and I look at all the faces with a little scared, I didn’t know how to go on…. then I saw your eye contact and you gave me the power to go on, you give me the energy to go on, I see the trust in your eyes”. Well, we should never underestimate the energetic power we can transmit to other people, the subtle energies, for me this was magic.

Can you share the funniest mistake that you made when you first started? Can you share the lesson you learned from it?

Now is funny but at the time I was a little bit sad about that 🙂 I was a contributor for an online magazine and during a private talk with the owner I told her that I would love to make on my blog a monthly column with the 3 best books of the month. Just because I am very finicky about my job, I decided to take a couple of months to develop the idea in a cool and unusual way… well the next month, on her online magazine, I read “ From this month a new monthly column has been created for you by me. The 3 best books of the moment”. I was like “ Wow, omg, did she really do so?”. In the beginning, I was a little sad about her behavior to stole the idea ( that at first she told me it was boring LOL ) but then I realized that the saddest thing is that you have to steal ideas from others because you don’t have on your own. From that day, I never talked about my new ideas to anybody, I will let them know only when they are already a reality.

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?

I am working on several new projects, the major part is still secrets but I can tell that I will do something created by me for some brands. We are also shooting brand new digital and visual contents for Instagram and the website… it will be a hot Fall Winter!

Who are some of the most interesting people you have interacted with? What was that like? Do you have any stories?

The most interesting person I had and have the pleasure to interact with is Adam Katz Sinding, the renowned street style photographer. I clearly remember the first time I met him and made a shooting to me. It was October 2015, Paris Place des Vosges at 5 PM and I was so nervous and excited because in some minutes I would have made a shooting with my favorite photographer ever… Can you believe me if I say that I still remember his look and everything about the moment? When I was a perfect nobody with no connections with him, who was already very famous at the time, he made the same this shooting to me. He will have forever a special place in my heart. Still today Adam is for me the best photographer ever, but not only… He is a very deep person who transmits so many subtle energies, and he is a daily inspiration for me, he is a sort of alive motivation to always do better in my own job.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career?

Never compare yourself to others, everyone has his own path to do. Don’t go with the flow but be the flow. Your uniqueness is your key to success. Put passion in everything you do and always listen to your inner voice because it knows what is the best for you.

What advice would you give to your colleagues in the industry, to thrive and not “burnout”?

The best thing is taking everything step by step. When a thing comes like an immediate burning fire in the same way it will extinguish. We are living in a moment when people want everything and they want it now, I see people who are losing the pleasure of the discovery and of learning. Of trying to capture things from people who have more experience, I see lot arrogance and very less humble. In this industry, you have not to focus yourself to be a meteora but to be the most shining star of the whole sky.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I am an animals lover and I used and I am using my success to bring awareness about how some animals are living awful lives due to cruel human beings and organizations. Sometimes opening the eyes to the evil side and see how bad a person could become is enough to help other people to spread their good. Is always the smallest step that can start the revolution. I am also very focused on the environment and on the less use of plastic, that is destroying our oceans, sea and marine fauna and flora.

I know this is not an easy job. What drives you?

The deep love I have for my job. No matter how less I sleep, eat or how much stress and responsibilities I have, because every morning I wake up with a smile thanking the Universe because I am in health doing the job of my dream.

Do you have a favorite book that made a deep impact on your life? Can you share a story?

I love reading, it relaxes me a lot. I read every kind of books, from thriller to myths passing by romantic novels, drama, poetry and historical books. At 13 years old I read all the books by Shakespeare, Baudelaire, Wilde, Marlowe, Goethe, Walter Scott but the book that really changed my life was The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.

I truly believe that the quality of our life is closely related to the quality of our thoughts and moods and that everything is related to the law of attraction, I had experimented it on myself… When I changed my thoughts everything has changed with them.

You are a person of great influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

A movement that for lot could be a utopia but I see it as a daily reality in some years. No more cruelty for every single animal, and of consequence for every human being. Be compassionate regarding every alive being.

What are your “5 things I wish someone told me when I first started” and why? Please share a story or example for each.

  • Never compare yourself to anybody else. If you won’t be chosen for a project, a work or anything else, this doesn’t mean that you worth nothing. This thing doesn’t define your talent, you are simply meant for something better for you.

  • Trust that feeling. If you hear your inner voice that is screaming and put a neon light with a NO and you have a strange feeling of negative vibes, don’t do it or believe me will regret in the future to have not followed your inner self, he knows everything before us.

  • Trust the process. If a thing is meant for you, will always find a way to arrive at you. Never never never fight against the ghosts of the ego.

  • Do that jump and lose the fear of the unknown. Sometimes you have to simply let yourself go… think about better the pro and the con, but when the list of the pro is so much longer than the con… Well, what are you waiting for? Don’t waste your talent for a life not made for you

  • Last but not least, believe in yourself first. This the most powerful thing you have in your hands, the trust in you. If you don’t believe in you who the hell could do another person?

I choose the 5 things really wisely, at the beginning I failed in every single one of them. I compare myself to others and ended up feeling uselessness. I don’t trust my inner voice and after I regret so badly and sadly to have done that. I didn’t trust the process and I thought that my dream wasn’t meant for me. I fear a lot do the jump, even if I only and pros and no one cons, because I didn’t believe in myself… but I change my mind and started believing in myself I made the most beautiful flight I had ever done.

Some of the biggest names in Business, VC funding, Sports, and Entertainment read this column. Is there a person in the world, or in the US whom you would love to have a private breakfast or lunch with, and why? He or she might see this. 🙂

I have a lot but a dream of mine is to have a private breakfast with Ophra Winfrey because she is a mentor, a woman of extreme success and of an intense intelligence. And after a lunch with Natalia Benson to talk about astrology, tarot, women empowerment and spirituality.
