More Together Than Alone: Discovering the Power and Spirit of Community in Our Lives and in the World, by Mark Nepo
2. What’s keeping you awake at night?
Not much! I learnt that there is no trade-off between living a well-rounded life and high performance. Our lives are improved when we set time aside for renewal.
3. What’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Sleep
4. What is the hardest thing you overcame?
In 2007, I was making phone calls and checking my emails when I passed out at my desk. I woke up in a pool of blood with my daughter standing above me. After my collapse from exhaustion my attitudes toward sleep changed drastically. I now take it much more seriously, and prioritising my sleep has changed every aspect of my life for the better.
5. How did you get out of your own way ?
After coming to realise the importance of sleep I now take care of myself. I make sure I practice gratitude and I purposely find moments of wonder and joy….something I practice every day.
