1. Choose to Give Money
Give it personally — to a real, specific individual, or to a small charity that you are personally involved with. There is a theory that the more money you give, the more you get; and though this is not a great reason to give money away, it does seem to work eerily often. The real reason is that giving money helps other people, and it helps you too by making you feel good. Very good value.
2. Choose to live healthily
All the food you eat can form a habit. You eat junk — you’ll soon start eating more of this. But if you instead eat good and healthy food — even if you don’t like so much to start with, you soon will — at least for some of it. It’s the same with exercise: It is easier to exercise each day for half an hour or more, soon it’ll be a great habit for you.
3. Go traveling
Once you’re out the door, even if it’s just on the way to the airport, the excitement will give you life value. Each time, you go traveling you’ll fill up your life with memories and this will keep you happy long time after coming home again.
4. Choose a Career You Love
Don’t get stuck doing something you don’t love. Most people are spending +40 hours at work every week. This is way too much of your life if you don’t like what you’re doing.
5. Start a family
Get kids, or find a partner that you can love and that’ll love you back. This is the essence of life. Being loved, cared for, having someone to wake up together with, having someone to take care of.
