The definition of coffee is simple, the more you drink the better you feel. Though it doesn’t mean that you should drink coffee every now and then. But, you can still opt to have multiple cups of coffee in a day. There are many who drink a minimum of 3-4 cups daily and others who merely just drink coffee casually. You must have heard people saying that too much coffee is bad for your health, is it really so? Have you ever wondered what more this liquid can do to your body than just waking you up in the morning?

  1. Protects against type 2 diabetes – Various studies have concluded that consuming coffee reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes in humans. It was observed that people who drink more than 1-2 cups a day had 11% lower risks of developing diabetes. Some serious coffee drinkers have reduced risk of developing diabetes by 23-50%. People who are diagnosed with diabetes can opt to drink coffee as it can be a lifesaver.

Studies have also concluded that coffee drinkers have lower risks of a stroke.
  6. Protects liver – Going by the definition of coffee, drink as much as you can as it helps to protect your liver as well. Liver plays a significant role in carrying out hundreds of functions in our body. There are several diseases that affect the liver primarily like fatty liver disease, hepatitis, etc. Coffee helps to protect the liver from being affected by such conditions. Moreover, it is also concluded that people who drink a minimum of 4 cups of coffee a day have 80% lower risk of affected liver. 

Coffee has high antioxidant content, and is believed to supply a great level of antioxidants when people drink it daily. Studies show that people get a tremendous amount of antioxidant from coffee higher than what is obtained from fruits and vegetables combined.
