An office trivia night is always a good idea…

If you thought that trivia nights only take place at the bar – boy, were you wrong! The truth is that an office trivia night is one of the most popular team-building activities nowadays, as it’s a fantastic way to challenge the brain and have fun at the same time. Of course, we’re talking about areas of knowledge that don’t necessarily apply to people’s everyday jobs, so start with breaking the entire company into teams of five or more people. As for the questions, you can either write them yourself or hire a trivia organization to host your team-building event. As simple as that!

… As well as the ultimate cook-off

This team-building activity is probably the most unpredictable one, as you can never know how it’s going to end, but you know what? That’s exactly what makes it so fantastic! A cook-off is an amazing way to create new dishes as a team and put leadership skills into action, so pick a food category, divide your team into smaller groups, and let your ultimate cook-off begin! You can pick literally any dish you want, from pizza and spaghetti to brownies and ice cream, but don’t forget to choose an ingredient everyone must use in order to spice everything up a little bit. No matter if you opt for Oreos, caramel syrup, or fresh mozzarella – we’re sure that your employees will have a lot of fun while trying to come up with the winning recipe!

You can’t go wrong with a karaoke night

If singing your heart out helps you relax and unwind after a long day at work, you should take karaoke night into consideration. In fact, it makes an awesome team-building activity, so why wouldn’t you come up with a contest for the best group karaoke performance? You can also give bonus points for sassy details like cowboy hats, boa feathers, and crazy wigs, which will inspire the contestants to put even more effort into their performances. Just don’t forget to motivate your employees by giving prizes for first, second, and third place, and you’ll undoubtedly do a great job!

Everyone will love a board game tournament

Last but certainly not least, a board game tournament is a great way for your employees to show their competitive side without even leaving the office. This team-building activity is particularly desirable in bigger companies, where you can pick a single game your employees can join once they’re free to leave their desks. Of course, you should choose board games with reasonable play time, such as Jenga, Boggle, and even games that include playing cards.  Another thing you need to bear in mind is providing foods and drinks for the teams to refresh between rounds, so make sure to find a corporate catering company in the first place. Just pick the dishes that will fulfill everyone’s needs and make your board game tournament completely unforgettable!

Escape room games? Why not!

Did you know that escape room games are a fantastic way for people to show off teamwork, logic, patience, and leadership skills? That’s a fact, which is why they’ve become one of the most popular team-building activities nowadays. These basically work by ‘locking’ a group of people in one room for one hour. During that hour, the team has to solve puzzles, find hidden objects, and figure out different clues in order to locate the key that will set them free. Even though it sounds really simple, it definitely is not, which is exactly why only about 20% of people actually make it out before the hour is up!

As you can see, there are a lot of fantastic team-building activities you should take into consideration, and these five are unquestionably the best ones out there. All you have to do is to pick at least one of these and organize the ultimate team-building event everyone will absolutely adore. One thing is certain – you won’t make a mistake whichever you opt for!
