We all like to be appreciated for our efforts. When we make a positive gesture and someone thanks us, being valued for that gesture makes us feel good.

However, not only receiving gratitude is positive for us. Researchers have found that practicing gratitude has benefits for our bodies and minds and that daily practice enhances health and joy.

What does it mean to be grateful? Living with gratitude means focusing your time and attention on what you appreciate when a worker does his best in the job of washer repair. It does not mean convincing you of a false notion that everything is fine and excellent. The goal is not to block difficulties, but to address those difficulties from a different perspective. Calm the restlessness of your mind by connecting with the wonderful everyday things, big and small, that we might otherwise take for granted.

GRATITUDE CAN MAKE YOU MORE PATIENT

Research from Northeastern University found that people who were grateful for small, everyday things were more patient and had more self-control in various areas of their lives, compared to people who were not thankful on a day-to-day basis.

When some undergraduates were asked to choose between receiving a small amount of money immediately or a slightly larger sum at some point in the future, the students who had shown the most gratitude in previous experiments chose to wait to receive the money longer. ahead.

2. GRATITUDE IS RELATED TO BETTER SELF-CARE

 In a study conducted in Switzerland, researchers asked people to rate their levels of gratitude, physical health, and psychological health, as well as how likely they were to engage in well-being-enhancing behaviors such as exercise, healthy eating, and going to the medical consultation.

They found positive correlations between gratitude and each of these behaviors, suggesting that feeling grateful helps people appreciate and care for their bodies.

According to research conducted by Florida State University with a sample of 159 participants, feeling grateful to your partner, and vice versa can improve numerous aspects of your relationship, by making individuals more comfortable and able to express their concerns, which It improves feelings of connection and overall satisfaction in the relationship.

4. GRATITUDE ENHANCES MEMORIES.

 Experiencing gratitude in the present makes us more likely to have positive memories.

In a study in which participants recalled issues that still caused them discomfort, they were divided into three groups and invited to write about something neutral related to the issue, about the unpleasant event itself, and about something positive stemming from it. that incident, for which they were grateful. The group that wrote with appreciation demonstrated less unpleasant emotional impact and greater ability to emotionally resolve the issue.

5. GRATITUDE HELPS YOU SLEEP BETTER
