As many of us are now at home in lockdown, it may seem increasingly difficult for all us changemakers out there to truly be the change we wish to see in the world. You may feel discouraged, helpless, or perhaps like you’ve lost your vision or mission in the world. However, that is not the case, you can still make a difference from wherever you are in the world right now.

As someone who was constantly out in the world trying to make a difference, I felt lost when I thought I wasn’t going to be able to make a change anymore as I’m now in lockdown within my home. But once I realized that there are in fact many ways to enact change from anywhere in the world, I began to see all the infinite possibilities for transformation that were awaiting.

And so, here are 4 ways you can be a changemaker from your home:

  1. Get online – Social media can be the best tool to be an advocate for a cause, speak up, and inspire other people. There are so many ways to advocate for what you stand for with social media so create a video or a post that tells the world how you wish to make a difference and how you plan to do so! By sharing your mission and your goals, you could inspire others to make a difference as well!
  2. Start a conversation with other changemakers – Reach out and connect with people who have similar interests and goals as you! Create new partnerships and collaborations – you never know all the amazing things you can accomplish when you team up with similar minded people!
  3. Create a mastermind group – Gather other game changers and come up with new and inspiring ideas together! Get on a video call and share each of your goals and intentions for making the world a better place. This is where new collaborations and projects are born so don’t be afraid to reach out and talk to other changemakers like yourself.
  4. Find new projects and causes to get involved with – now is a perfect time to use social media and new connections to find up and coming projects and causes to work on. Your next amazing opportunity as a changemaker could be waiting just around the corner waiting for you to seize the moment!

There are so many ways you can make a difference in the world from your home! You just have to envision the change you want to make and begin taking action to get there. And always remember:

“No one is unqualified when it comes to serving humanity”

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
