Lets be real for a minute. As soon as you step out of your door in the morning, the world of 10,000 things can be an easy distraction to a productive day you may have had planned. From getting the kids where they need to be, to managing the household and family needs, to tending to work and professional responsibilities, once the household is up, it can seem like your own personal priorities take a back seat.

If this resonates with you, here are 5 ways to make the most of your morning.

Get Up First and Get Up Earlier! Are you someone who gets up just in time to get ready, prepare breakfast and get the rest of your family together? If so, let me entice you to power of an extra hour. If that is too much, try just 30 minutes to start. In this day and age, we all have side hustles, multiple business, passion projects and less time to tend to our selves at a core. Imagine if you gave your self uninterrupted “me-time” first thing in the morning to ensure that no matter what happened during that day, you were taken care of and filled up first?

Create a Morning Routine. Success is built on structure. A morning routine is the structure needed to get your day off to the right start. Whether you give yourself 20 minutes or 2 hours, specific actions each morning help reinforce good habits in your day to day life. Get creative. Think about the things you do not get to in your typical day. And remember to structure your morning so it supports you and your personal goals.

Move! Meditate! Manifest! Yes. I know this is 3-in-1. This is a program I do every year and it involves exactly that. Movement. Meditation. And Manifestation. I believe that the three go hand in hand. Each morning, if you take a moment to move, whether that be stretching, yoga, rebounding, swimming, running, dancing, that gets your blood flowing and wakens your mind. Meditation is a simple quieting of the mind, almost like your cool down exercise. I recommend visualization into your meditation which leaves a nice tradition into manifesting. Manifesting is asking the universe for what you want. Putting out into the ethos everything you wish to do, be, have and create. Next level manifesting is meeting the universe halfway and adding an action plan to that. Start by asking yourself, what is one thing I can do to bring myself closer to that big ask to the universe?

If this seems unattainable for you to do right now, start smaller. Two minutes over time adds up. Build up to 5 minutes. In no time, you will find yourself excited to get up before everyone in your household to take care of you first.
