Releasing our expectations sets us free from the bondage of self-imposed limitations.

I have heard it said a million times, “Life is what you make of it.” Really? I have always found that statement to be so aggravating and down right condescending until, one day, I sat down and pondered what those words actually meant to me.

After several personal ‘moments’ complete with tears, emotional outbursts, and triumphant epiphanies, I came up with my own way of interpreting this wisdom without being in judgement of the lessons that were revealed after I decided to surrender to the currents of life. Now, surrender didn’t mean I was to give up and throw in the towel or to just accept my lot in life and become a statistic or a door mat to the emotional vampires or habitual takers, matter of fact, it was just the opposite. I found a source of spiritual gold that became the never-ending treasure trove of internal happiness, steadfast clarity, and unwavering strength to go after what I truly wanted from life.

My insights translated to 3 Powerful Tools that I use every day to stay emotionally focused, spiritually centered, and soulfully connected by releasing all expectations. I discovered there was only one rule for the magic to happen; I was to stay open-minded in the continual free-fall of unlimited potential.

  1. Let Go and Be Flexible to the outcome of your desires which may be completely different from your original ideas or your pre-determined outcome.
  2. Be Fully Present in the NOW so that you can take part in the unfolding of the miracle when it happens right before your eyes. Keep your mind wide open so that new opportunities can present themselves in a more serendipitous way.
  3. Believe that the Universe is Orchestrating on Your Behalf so that it can meet your current needs, desires, and goals with a force so powerful that it can alter your life in ways that your mind may not have been able to conceive on it’s own.

I have always believed that I am part of a whole, but chose to incarnate here on earth as an individual soul with a divine purpose. In order to succeed in my mission of self-discovery I must do my part. I must show up every day ready to do the next right thing which, in turn, allows me to calmly, and intelligently, seize all opportunities that arise from utilizing the 3 Powerful Tools that have guided me in building the life of my dreams.
