2 Important Things I Realised I Need To Do To Magnify My Impact

These 2 things have been a great assest to my writing

Living my life the way I want is one the best decisions I ever made. I chose what I wanted to do forever- what I wanted to study, my passion and the kind of people I want to have in my life.

I want to be the best at helping people succeed. I always mention that I want people to find fulfillment and success. It makes me happy seeing other people do great things in life. Going about helping people live better lives is not easy. It takes time, patience and a lot of learning. I realized two important things I have to do (among others) in order to have an impact on the world:

1. I have to understand people

Understanding people enables you to figure out how to help them. You will get a glimpse of what they need in their lives, what their goals are, how they want to achieve those goals and what hindrances they have to overcome.

The way to get depth understanding of how to understand people is by reading books, acquainting yourself with more people and asking questions.

I love asking questions. I am an “introverted inquisitive generation Z.” Asking people questions gives me access to their thoughts and emotions. I am able to connect to their souls.

I am able to see beneath the surface of what the naked eye perceives. You cannot admit to understand someone without having a deep encounter with them.

2. I have to think on my feet

I’m a deep thinker. This is why I enjoy writing because it gives me the opportunity to thoroughly think about what I want to say before it comes out of my mouth.

Conversations are a different story.

I have to ‘think on my feet’ and sometimes I end up contradicting my statements or saying the wrong thing. Stemming from the previous point, asking questions gives more “hush” time than talk time.

Thinking on my feet is definitely not my forte. I have a great desire to eliminate not being good at thinking fast and communication. That desire compels me to always make an effort to learn more about communicating effeciantly and effectively.

You have to admit that you there are things you cannot do effectively. It is important to identify them so that you can become a better person and magnify the impact you want to have on the world. Admit, employ necessary mechanism, and then execute.
