10 tricks – stress-free family vacations

From work, the holidays are imagined perfect.

From work, the holidays are imagined perfect. But let’s not fool ourselves, sometimes, in reality, the reality is different. And if we are traveling with children, all the more reason. Prepare the suitcases, the trip, the screaming and the happy question “when do we arrive” repeated one hundred times in a hundred times, the hotel that is not what we expect … and the accumulated stress that has come in the suitcase.

1. PLAN WELL BEFORE GOING.

To enjoy the holidays with the children it is essential to plan the trip well. Advance is a key to success because improvising can be a risk. So study well on romantic getaways, the choice of the hotel, the area you are going, the activities there for children and adults … You can even involve them so they can travel excited!

2. PREPARE FOR THE TRIP.

Sometimes before reaching the destination, we already want to go home. To avoid this, try to make the trip comfortable for everyone: if you travel by car, make frequent stops, take games and the DVD, there are several tricks. If you go by plane, arrive on time at the airport, do not race on the T4, and follow these tips to keep them entertained along the way.

3. COMFORT.

Another trick to make the journey easy is that you and the children travel comfortably. And always carry spare clothes. Murphy does not rest and if the juice can fall on his shirt, it will fall, believe me.

4. DO NOT WANT TO DO EVERYTHING.

We arrive at a new destination and we want to see everything. Having a busy schedule with children can create a lot of tension and fatigue. Alternate. You don’t have to give up visiting, but you also have to have moments of leisure and rest. If you’ve been seeing squares and bridges for two hours, how about sitting in a park for a while? A towel, a ball, blowing a grinder.

5. STOP WORRYING ABOUT SECONDARY PROBLEMS.

The foods, the weather, what I am going to find in this place and in another … you are on vacation! You don’t have to have everything under control. Children do not see problems, only ways to have fun. Why don’t you get a little bit? An oriental proverb says: if it has a remedy, why do you complain, if it does not, why do you complain.

6. NO TO LABOR CALLS.

If you want to disconnect, disconnect. It is not always easy. You are with your family in a beautiful place. Your children are dying to play and make you laugh. All the time you waste there “working” doesn’t come back. Your children grow up and will never be “x” again. Does it compensate you?

7. ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, AND ATTITUDE.

No matter how beautiful the hotel is, how wonderful the beach is … if your attitude is not positive, the rest will not work. Leave home with your smile on and everything will be easier. That you are in a restaurant, the macaroni does not arrive and the children scream because they are hungry? make them laugh. Your patience is an example; these days are worth a try.

8. AVOID MANY CHANGES.

Children are animals of habit. Sometimes the change causes distress and disturbances in sleep. It is not their bed; they do not know the place. Talk to them, tell them a story about the place, make them feel comfortable, don’t see everything as strange. It is essential for them to follow schedules and routines similar to those at home.

9. ENJOY WITHOUT OBLIGATIONS.

You spend the rest of the year doing what you “have” to do. Not these days. Stop being an adult for a few hours and enjoy how they do the here and now. Sharing a sunset with them was one of my mother’s purposes for this year, I will fulfill it.

10. TWO MAGIC WORDS, TOGETHER:

Vacation and family of course, the combination involves a few resignations and a lot of will. But the reward is worth it, don’t you think? Unrepeatable family moments. It depends on you. Enjoy them!
