Ward W. Vuillemot is currently CTO/CPO at RealSelf where he oversees product, design, engineering, data science and analytics, IT, and customer support. As a person with high-functioning autism, he is more surprised than anyone else that he’s found his vocational calling leading others remotely. He has successfully worked 100% remotely from his home in central Washington for the past 6 years. Previous employment includes Boeing, Amazon, Xbox and other companies in a variety of roles spanning aerospace engineering to technical Japanese interpreter to software engineering to product management to technology leader.
He lives with his partner and their two great danes. He’s working on, albeit not nearly as quickly as he’d like, a book aimed toward technology leaders on how to build high-functioning organizations by creating psychologically safe environments built upon EQ, kindness, and clear communications. He’s looking forward to a post-COVID world where we can once again attend NorwesCon and exhibit his artwork.
