I come from a construction family. My grandfather started his construction company (Four Seasons) in the Bay Area, CA, back in the 1970's. My father worked with him as well as both of my brothers and I. In fact I can remember watching a concrete slab pour at a very early age! I, myself have been in the construction industry for over 20 years. I started my career at KB Homes, moved over to DR Horton (where I met and married my husband-a Superintendent) and proudly worked with Clark Builders on the Monterey Bay Military Housing Project at Ft Ord -building over 2800 homes for military personnel and their families. This role was close to my heart as I come from a very patriotic family. My grandfather was a decorated veteran, earning both the Silver Star and a Purple Heart during his tenure. For the past 4.5 years, I have worked for a Bay Area company where I became involved in and passionate about renewables. My role was Chief Operating Officer. During my time there, I was honored to be voted "Most Valuable Women in Solar 2016". I have enjoyed being a board member of SAVE (Safe Alternative to Violent Environments) and a member of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) and the NAPW (National Association of Professional Women) as well as Mentorloop, Micromentors and have obtained an AASBC certification (Small Business Consultant). My corporate role ended in Nov 2017. Changing my lifestyle has been challenging but rewarding. I have a lot of knowledge and experience in many areas and I definitely have a LOT to say!
