Tytia Habing

Photographer, horticulturalist, and nature loving aficionado.

Tytia Habing, a documentary fine art photographer, lives and works in Watson, Illinois very near where she grew up on a working farm. Having spent most of her adult life living in the Cayman Islands, she moved back to her roots a few short years ago. She holds degrees in both horticulture and landscape architecture and is a self taught photographer. Tytia's work has been exhibited internationally and has been published in Lenscratch, Black + White Magazine, The Sun, Shots Magazine and National Geographic to name but a few. Most notably, her work has been featured on CNN and shortlisted for the Black and White Photographer of the Year 2015 sponsored by Leica, Critical Mass 2015, LEAD Awards 2016 and HEAD ON Photo Awards 2017. She's also won a Silver Flora Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in London. To date though, her greatest and most important accomplishment is raising a happy, healthy and empathetic young son. Little known fact: she saved herself and family from a burning building by tying bedsheets together and shimmying out the window. You can see more of her work at www.tytiahabing.com

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
