Traci Stein, PhD, MPH
Dr. Stein is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Teachers College, and a health & wellness writer. She is an expert on integrative medicine and was the former director of Integrative Medicine in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Stein developed an integrated healthcare practicum for doctoral students at Teachers College focused on treating psychological issues in the medically ill and working collaboratively with medical doctors and other providers. Her holistic approach to chronic pain, enhancing wellness, and achieving balance draws upon the strengths of integrating conventional and complementary therapies, compassionate psychotherapy, and helping patients become active agents in achieving optimal well-being. She has been featured in O, The Oprah Magazine and quoted in Woman’s Day,, Bustle, and Health magazine, is the author of The Everything Guide to Integrative Pain Management (Adams Media).
