Toby Barlow is the founder of Lafayette American, a marketing agency in Detroit Michigan. Previously, he was the chief creative officer managing the Ford account globally for WPP. He is the author of two award-winning novels (Sharp Teeth, Babayaga) and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, Salon, and The Paris Review. He is also a founder of Signal Return, a fine arts letterpress shop located in Detroit's Eastern Market.
