Tim Etherington-Judge is a hospitality professional with more than twenty-five years experience at all levels of the industry - from tourist-spot coffee shop, to chef, award- winning bartender, bar manager and global ambassador for some of the world’s most recognisable brands. As well as advising and consulting on sales and marketing, he has helped develop both new and established brands in this most competitive of sectors, including Bulleit American Whiskey, Ketel One Vodka and Johnnie Walker.
As the first Global Ambassador for Bulleit American Whiskey, Tim helped build the company’s reputation from that of an ambitious, fringe brand, to the fastest-growing, and best-selling, premium bourbon and the third largest brand overall in the Diageo Reserve Collection - the world’s largest luxury spirits portfolio. As well as establishing its on trade activity, he built bartender advocacy in thirty-two countries across six continents, founded new markets and launched Europe’s first whiskey barrel aged coffee in partnership with London based bespoke coffee group, The Gentleman Baristas.
With Global drinks giant Diageo he was the First Brand Ambassador in India, training more than 2,500 bartenders across the country, and mentoring many to international positions as far afield as New York and Hong Kong, as well as hosting World Class, the globe’s most prestigious cocktail competition. Following that he was appointed first brand ambassador for Sub Sahara Africa, training bartenders across the continent and establishing the World Class brand in two new markets. As an award-winning bartender and bar manager meanwhile, he reopened the bars at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai following the 2008 terror attacks, served as Ambassador for UK Drinks Industry charity, The Benevolent, and has won accolades for best bar team, best cocktail menu, 2009 New Zealand bartender of the year and represented that country in the 2008 42 Below Cocktail World Cup.
Outside the industry Tim has raised thousands of pounds for charity through cycling and long distance running, achieving a marathon time of 3.36 and completing the Trail Verbier, St Bernard 2017 Ultra Marathon and the Rapha Hell of the North. He is also the founder of Healthy Hospo, a project to improve health amongst hospitality professionals, by providing a central hub for information, events and resources with the aim of creating a healthier, happier and more productive workplace, reducing sick days and improving productivity. He is the proud owner of a 4.9 Uber rating.
