Since the dawn of time, human beings have capitalized and survived because of their connections to one another. A long time ago, the tribe Shaman or Seer was available to all of us. Today, well, there's always social media I suppose. Irony aside and far from being a Seer, my aim is to re-create important aspects of those once available relationships. I aim to provide the situation and space so that a person can feel like themselves. No more, no less.
I do not approach psychological practice from a formulaic point of view. I don't believe humans fit into boxes. I am however influenced by Depth Psychology, Existentialism, Buddhist Dharma and Brain Science in my clinical orientation. At the core I believe in focusing on authentic relationship and promoting freedom.
My training is specifically focused on promoting healthy relationships - primarily with oneself - and eventually, perhaps, with others. I'm of the opinion that developing this quality together with a trusted other, is by far one of the most powerful means to achieve this.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
