Lorraine M. Martin

President and CEO

Lorraine Martin is the president and CEO of the National Safety Council and is committed to helping people live their fullest lives. As a Lockheed Martin executive and successful business leader for over three decades, Lorraine provided vision and leadership to 34,000 employees around the world, leading programs to development and manufacture complex systems and aircraft. Lorraine is also co-founder and president of the nonprofit Pegasus Springs Foundation, which provides collaboration opportunities for educators, students and community members. She is a proud champion for advancing women and girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), and she is passionate about leadership, diversity and inclusion. Lorraine served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. She earned a master's degree in computer science from Boston University and a bachelor's degree in computational mathematics from DePauw University.
