Creating happy, healthy and sustainable businesses

Now being in my 50's I was a late starter in my career. Having my two boys in my mid 20's I didn't start thinking about what I really wanted to do until I was in my 30's.

After having children and being a full time Mum (which I loved) I ended up in financial services. I am a quiet, introverted person who for a long time lacked confidence because of various events in my life. As I got older (and wiser!) I actually discovered I had ambition and wanted to reach my potential. I decided to do a Psychology degree at age 38 whilst working full time and looking after my children (it took 6 years but was completely worth it). I'd finally become a director of a small business and then a different path was put in front of me, so I decided to change sectors and spent 3 years working in an international franchise, supporting franchise owners. I loved this job but it wasn't by business.

I then felt it was really time to set myself free again and go it alone so I created Thoughts Become Things Coaching and Consulting Ltd. I love working with people and enabling businesses to reach their full potential.

A little bit about what I do is below.

I create happy, healthy and sustainable businesses using a 3-step proven approach of Consult, Coach & Train.

An expert in enabling businesses to achieve:-

- healthy profitability
- efficient processes to achieve sustainable growth
- an understanding of who their clients are and who they want to attract
-. a workplace that has happy, engaged and motivated staff

Having worked for a multi award winning Franchise in the Health Care sector and with many successful financial planning firms, I have really experienced what 'Good' looks like in terms of culture and processes. What I have learned is, businesses that succeed have leaders with a mind-set that is open, willing to listen and adapts as the business grows or changes. As a Psychologist, I know that changing mind-sets can be hard, especially for growing businesses. I take time to get to know the businesses I work with so that I can provide a bespoke solution. I then support implementation of my proven approach to business change, enabling them to adapt to change smoothly and effectively.
