Stuart Fitzwilliam is a runner and writer living in Southern California. Following his treatment for depression, he developed Cards for Calm™, a tool that uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help people reframe how they approach problems.

Its popularity with educators and child therapists led to the creation of Imaginhero™, a game that uses superhero narratives as a framework for conveying CBT techniques. It teaches children how to use visualization, creative thinking, and mindfulness to deal with anxiety, stress, and confrontation. It shows them that imagination is their superpower.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
