Shefali grew up in India where she developed a passion for classical dance, yoga, and science. She completed her certification in Bharat Natyam, a classical form of dance in India, at the young age of fifteen. When she moved to New York City to complete an undergraduate degree in Engineering, dance and yoga grounded her. Later, Shefali received her Yoga Teacher Certification. She currently teaches yoga in Princeton, NJ.
Shefali combines her passion for creativity, active spiritualism and science. Her training is built on a foundation of physical therapy and a deep learning of anatomy to create a safe, strong, and sustainable practice. She connects the technical fundamentals with her practice of dance to create a complete experience for her students. In addition to being a yoga teacher, she is a leader in the biopharmaceutical industry with over 15 years of experience as an integrator of data, market research and has a deep understanding of the broad life sciences landscape. She leverages evidence-based methods to provide targeted recommendations that deliver true value to patients and society.
Shefali consistently integrates her knowledge from the biopharmaceutical industry with her passion for yoga and mindfulness through scientific evidence. She believes that the next big movement for the life sciences industry will be led by an authentic focus on health and wellness not only for individual patients but for society as a whole. Shefali is eager to start more conversations about how the life sciences industry can leverage its powerful platform to promote mindfulness, diet, and exercise alongside their core business.
Shefali holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from Stern School of Business at New York University.
