Sandy Reisky is founder of Generation 180, a non-profit committed to advancing the transition to clean energy and supporting a cultural shift in energy awareness. He became interested in consumer education and empowerment after years as an entrepreneur in the renewable energy field. He entered the industry in 2000, founding companies that have developed over $4 billion of wind and solar facilities operating around the country. He served as CEO Apex Clean Energy from 2009-2016. He founded Greenlight Energy, a leading independent wind energy company that was acquired by BP in 2006. Sandy was also the founder of Axio Power, a utility-scale solar developer and Columbia Power Technologies, a pioneer in wave energy technology. In 2014, Sandy was appointed to serve on the Virginia Energy Council by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. He has a BS in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
