Rudy Chavarria, Jr. is the founder and CEO of College Web Media.
His work in the entertainment industry goes back to the 1980s, when
he worked in and around Hollywood, most notably as a runner for
A&M Records. He started his first company, Rude Records, in 1989,
signing and promoting independent bands on his company’s label.
Promoting largely and successfully to the college demographic,
Chavarria eventually focused exclusively on promotions, specializing
in the college demographic. He started Rude College Promotions,
which came to be called American AMP (Advertising, Marketing &
Promotions), expanding his scope of services to include promoting
film as well as music.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
