Rhonda Collins, DNP, RN, FAAN, has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and the Chief Nursing Officer at Vocera Communications, Inc. since 2014. Prior to being a clinical expert for the technology industry, Dr. Collins held several leadership positions in hospitals across Texas, including Vice President for Women and Children’s Services at Baylor University Medical Center. As the CNO at Vocera, Dr. Collins works with nurses, physicians, IT professionals and other hospital leaders around the world to improve the safety and well-being of patients and care teams. Throughout her career, Dr. Collins has been on a mission to elevate the voices of nurses and co-founded the American Nurse Project. She earned her doctor of nursing practice from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and a master’s degree in nursing administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
