The Rev. Brenda Ford is an associate chaplain serving at Glen Cove Hospital. She began working in Northwell in 2020 as a per diem chaplain. She earned her B.S. in health services management from SUNY-Utica /Rome, her Master’s in community health administration from Long Island University, and her M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary with coursework in church and society. In addition to providing pastoral care to patients and families in crisis and at the end of life, outside of Northwell, Brenda is the Director and Protestant Chaplain at Stony Brook University, teaches undergraduate coursework in Global Health, Wellness & Community, serves on several boards including the Long Island Council of Churches and National Campus Ministry Association and has conducted professional development workshops and trainings on a wide range of topics. Her professional interests have been in the care for the mind, body, spirit, empowerment of people and faith-based communities.
