Junior at Monte Vista High School
Reva is a sixteen-year-old steminist with an aspiration to empower women around the world. She is a junior at Monte Vista High School in Danville, CA. She is a passionate coder, avid reader, and hackathon lover. Reva is the co-founder of an organization, KoderKids, which aims to expose more girls to the limitless world of Computer Science by conducting free workshops at schools. She is also a member of the Danville Youth Council, Scholastic’s Teen Advisory Board, and the Buddy Project's Youth Advisory Board. She recently won the Congressional App Challenge and was interviewed by ABC7 and was selected as an EF Global Citizen Scholar. She was given the opportunity to travel to Panama for two weeks with 8 other amazing students from around the country, all expenses paid, and conduct STEM research with the UN and Smithsonian. Reva has also fundraised around twenty-thousand dollars to build an orphanage for fourteen young, deserving girls in her motherland, India. In addition, Reva also finds the time to be a huge Warriors fan, try out new restaurants with friends, and attend tech conferences. She enjoys comedies, biographies, documentaries and is currently writing her own book about powerful women in our world. She aims to empower young girls and women to aspire for greatness and share inspirational stories that would spark any of us to do better. Her belief is that any one of us, regardless of our situation, can make it and be "successful".
