Renae Burton

aka Miss Type 1

In 1978 at the age of 6, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Recently I've been known as Miss Type 1.

For the past 20+ years, I have been dedicated to learning, experimenting using my own body as a research subject, and sharing my results with the world in support of changing the way type 1 diabetes is managed.

My mission is to see people living with type 1 diabetes heal their insulin resistance and reduce or remove the need for pharmaceutical medication, through living a whole food, plant-based, low-fat lifestyle and implementing holistic, conscious rituals into daily practices that are aligned with individual values and needs.

I'm on a mission to disrupt the health and medical industry by creating an international community of holistic health practitioners, experts, and doctors who are invested in creating a positive impact in healing type 1 diabetes insulin resistance naturally.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
