Paula Figueroa-Vega

I am. I strive to be more of who I am everyday. In this world, I hold many roles, and here are a few:
I hold the name of Paula, the same as my father's mother who passed away while I was in my mother's womb.
I am a daughter, a sister, a friend.
I am a wife, a mother, a role model.
I am Latina, born in Trenton, NJ -
with Puerto Rican roots and connections to Maunabo, Puerto Rico.
I am a feminist with catholic roots.
A non-profit administrator with an activist heart.
I am a teacher and a student of human behavior, social justice and the like.
I am both confident and insecure,
Vulnerable and authentic.
Young and old.
Fun and serious.
I seek organization, wisdom, peace,
and a longing for myself.
I am.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
