A 30-Something Trying to Get All The Stuff Done
Hi! I’m Patrick Mahinge from Nairobi, Kenya, and, like a lot of folks, I sometimes lose myself in the hustle of everyday life. A job I love, a few side projects I adore, a constant quest for more knowledge, a desire to be a bigger part of my community and an appreciation for travel and the arts. Underneath all that, though, is someone who frequently forgets about other important things in life: health, quality sleep, exercise, R&R, relationships. And, too often, great ideas go nowhere, stories never get written and books never get finished. I’m a sharer because I believe wholeheartedly that we can learn from each other. On this space, I’ll share my goals and progress and struggles and strides in striving for a better work/life balance. I will share things that worked for me and things that did NOT. I’ll share articles and books and practices I found useful and offer commentary about how and why they were helpful. I’ll celebrate successes and (if need be) admit failures.

People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.
