My first career was as a senior Human Resources professional. For 20 years I worked with leadership in both entrepreneurial and well-established environments to help the organization establish or reinvent their culture and people processes. This experience has given me a unique perspective of understanding the business environment and the frustrations created in today’s work cultures.
My passion for mountaineering has taught me tremendous lessons in how to set and reach goals. Equally important, it helped me learn to deal with disappointment, either caused by uncontrollable forces (such as changing weather), or running up against our current physical limits. I bring the perspective of getting outside our comfort zones to the coaching experience; believing anything is possible with perseverance, planning and passion.
My coaching style is founded on the idea of meeting people where they are, getting to the heart of where they want to go, and who they want to become along the way.

“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
