Monica Magnetti

Born and raised in Italy, Monica moved to Canada with a degree in ancient Greek and Latin though without speaking a word of English. She learned English by watching the Muppet Show and attending evening classes with other non-English speakers. To this day she marvels at how any of them learned English. She now holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia and is proud to be the author of many books. Monica is a feminist like Miss Piggy. Kermit the Frog is still her prince and Cookie Monster her hero.
