Michellene Davis, Esq Biography.
Michellene Davis, Esq., is an equity and health policy expert who speaks internationally on issues ranging from systems change and social innovation to historical inequities in health and society. She is Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer for RWJBarnabas Health, where she drives social impact, community investment, and global health. Davis has been named to the “Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare, and to the “Top 50 African Americans in Healthcare” by Becker’s Hospital Review. She has received the prestigious Thurgood Marshall award for advancing social justice in health equity and been among the NJBIZ Health Care Power 50, and the NJBIZ “Top 100 in Business”. Previously, Davis served as Lottery CEO, Acting State Treasurer and Chief Policy Counsel of New Jersey.
Active in global civic engagement, Davis is on the boards of the International Black Women’s Public Policy Institute and The Democracy Collaborative. She is President Emeritus of Executive Women of New Jersey and a member of the Board of Directors of the Caucus Educational Trust, among others.
Davis is a trailblazing leader and passionate voice for equity. A trial attorney by training, she spent her earliest years in public service representing disenfranchised members of the most vulnerable communities. She is an honors graduate of Seton Hall University and holds a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School.
