Matt Nemer


Today Matt Nemer works as the CFO of PlushCare, a San Francisco-based telemedicine group. PlushCare helps connect patients to qualified doctors regardless of their location. Before PlushCare, Matt managed the strategy functions and finances of hims, inc., a men’s health startup. Before that, he spent almost twenty years as a top Wall Street Analyst covering retail and ecommerce. There, he focused on digital commerce and digitally native brands. In fact, Matt was the first analyst to write extensively about DNVBs. 


During his time as an analyst, Matt Nemer covered brick-and-mortar retail with pure-play ecommerce companies, video commerce companies, and global marketplaces. His work has even led him to be a keynote speaker at Google’s Think Retail conferences. Matt has been quoted in nearly every major financial media outlet, from CNBC to the Wall Street Journal. His expertise includes the current state of retail, consumer habits, ecommerce, Amazon, and more. 


Matt has also served as an advisor to several startups including HotelTonight and ComCap LLC, and worked as a Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities. There he provided equity research coverage in the retail, ecommerce, and marketplace sectors.
