Ken Falke spent 21 years in the US Navy as a bomb disposal specialist. After retiring from the Navy in 2002, Ken started and later sold A-T Solutions, a counter-terrorism company. In 2004, Ken founded the EOD Warrior Foundation to support the families of severely wounded military bomb disposal personnel. This work inspired Ken and his family to donate 37 acres of their estate in Bluemont, Virginia and millions of dollars to build Boulder Crest Retreat Virginia in 2013 – the nation’s first privately funded wellness center dedicated exclusively to combat veterans and their families— and go on to establish Boulder Crest Retreat Arizona and the Boulder Crest Institute in 2017.
“People look for retreats for themselves, in the country, by the coast, or in the hills . . . There is nowhere that a person can find a more peaceful and trouble-free retreat than in his own mind. . . . So constantly give yourself this retreat, and renew yourself.”
- MARCUS AURELIUS
